Chandler Park Tree Planting Event

** PLEASE ONLY RESERVE ONE (1) TICKET PER FAMILY **

Keep Fresno Beautiful is partnering with the City of Fresno’s Public Works Landscape Division and Tree Fresno to plant 15 trees at Chandler Park, in southwest Fresno. 15 families from the community are being selected – with help from Every Neighborhood Partnership – to each plant a tree in the park. The City of Fresno is installing an irrigation system and Tree Fresno will be present to educate volunteers on how to plant and care for the trees. Shovels and other tools will be provided.

All safety and social distancing protocols will be followed and volunteers will be asked to:

  • Stay home if they don’t feel well or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Wear Halloween costumes or dress comfortably
  • Wear protective facial coverings
  • Bring their own water in reusable containers

Every family that participates will receive a free, pre-filled goody bag that includes a generous assortment of candies, plus 4 passes to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Storyland.

This project is supported by the California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities Program with funds from California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment – particularly in disadvantaged communities.
