Million Pound Challenge

The Million Pound Challenge is Mayor Jerry Dyer’s mission to help make Fresno a cleaner, greener, more beautiful place to live! During the 12 months of 2022, our Beautify Fresno crews as well as our volunteers will attempt to remove over ONE MILLION POUNDS of litter and garbage off of Fresno’s streets, highways, parks, alleys and trails. By sharing the results on our webpage and on social media, we generate enthusiasm and momentum for this important movement. Pick up a trash bag and join us!

Our goal is simple: 900,000 pounds of trash to be removed by our Beautify Fresno sanitation crews and the other 100,000 pounds of trash removed by our Beautify Fresno volunteers by the end of the year.
