Fresno is a bit cleaner following Saturday’s major cleanup event.
The 3rd annual Mayor’s Citywide Community Cleanup Day brought in a total of 13,250 pounds of trash and litter.
Over 1,200 volunteers dedicated two hours of their day to cleaning Downtown, Central, Southwest, and Southeast Fresno.
“Great cities are clean cities,” said Mayor Dyer. “It’s a testament to the renewed pride our residents and businesses are feeling about the areas where they live, work, and play. My greatest joy as Mayor of Fresno is to see our community come together as One Fresno to make our streets, parks, and neighborhoods look cleaner and feel safer.”
