1,191 volunteers took part in 12 community cleanup and beautification projects across this city this morning as Beautify Fresno celebrated its first Great American Cleanup as part of its affiliation with Keep America Beautiful. More than 10,500 pounds of trash and litter were removed from streets, parks, highway embankments and riverfronts,
Hundreds of people spent Saturday morning planting trees and cleaning up garbage around the city during Beautify Fresno’s ‘Great American Cleanup’ event. This week’s Beautify Fresno event was another success, the City says. Beautify Fresno was hoping for 50 volunteers for its cleanup around Old Armenia Town. In total, 92 donated their time and effort. Read more on FOX 26’s Website
