Keep Fresno Beautiful is partnering with the City of Fresno’s Public Works Landscape Division and Clean Fresno to host a park cleanup event at Chandler Park in southwest Fresno. The City of Fresno and Clean Fresno will provide trash bags, paper pickers, vests, and gloves. The City will have a limited supply of PPE (including masks, rubber gloves, and sanitary wipes.)
All safety and social distancing protocols will be followed and volunteers will be asked to:
- Stay home if they don’t feel well or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- Wear Halloween costumes or dress comfortably
- Wear protective facial coverings
- Bring their own water in reusable containers
Every family that participates will receive a free, pre-filled goody bag that includes a generous assortment of candies, plus 4 passes to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Storyland.
This project is supported by the California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities Program with funds from California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment – particularly in disadvantaged communities.
