Beautify Fresno is going from “Great” to “Greatest”!
This year, we’re taking part in the Greatest American Cleanup™, a nationwide effort to cleanup and beautify America’s parks, public spaces, and waterways in time for America’s 250th Birthday Celebration!
Led by Keep America Beautiful®, the Greatest American Cleanup kicks off with a goal of removing 25 billion pieces of litter and beautify 25,000 local communities between now and July 4, 2026.
Last year, Mayor Dyer’s Beautify Fresno initiative hosted 20 individual cleanup and beautification events involving over 1,600 volunteers who picked up 18,670 lbs. of trash in just one morning!
While picking up litter will be an important part of the Greatest American Cleanup, other Beautify Fresno activities include graffiti removal and park beautification. We’re organizing 20 locations for volunteers to help make Fresno a cleaner, greener, more beautiful place to live.
It’s a great way to serve the community – and every participant receives a FREE event t-shirt and an invitation to our Thank You After Party with free food trucks, activities for the kids, a DJ, and much more!

Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup™ (GAC) is one of the largest community service events in the nation. GAC takes place nationwide during the spring as part of Earth Day celebrations and prompts individuals to take greater responsibility for their local environment by conducting grassroots community service projects that engage volunteers, local businesses, and civic leaders.
